To drive a ride-on forklift truck, operators must follow a specific training course.
Article 73 of the Consolidated Law on health and safety in the workplace establishes the education and training obligations for ride-on forklift operators.
As of 12.03.2013, training must be provided as defined by the State-Regions Agreement 53/CSR of 22.02.2012 which identifies the work equipment for which specific operator qualification is required, as well as the procedures for recognising said qualification, the trainers and the minimum requirements for the validity of the training.
Without this qualification, operators cannot use the work vehicle, under penalty of heavy sanctions for the employer in the event of accident, injury or inspection by a supervisory body.
MONTINI, member of AISEM (the Italian association representing the manufacturers of lifting, elevation and handling systems), is authorised and qualified to train operators to drive ride-on forklift trucks in accordance with the indications of the aforementioned State-Regions Agreement.
