For more efficient and safer logistics, La.Bu.Nat. S.r.l. has chosen to equip itself with a supply of MONTINI MR ZINC 1.8 forklifts for handling inside its Quistello plant, in the province of Mantua, in the centre of Po Valley, the Italian heart of pig breeding.
La.Bu.Nat. is an important company in Lombardy that, for more than fifty years, has specialized in the processing of the entire pig intestinal pack and has developed products that meet the needs of modern quality charcuterie.
MONTINI provided the special forklift trucks to meet Customer’s needs and expectations in the best way:
- forklift trucks in ZINC version, completely hot-dip galvanized and produced with stainless steel components and specific measures, to resist the corrosive agents that characterize food industry;
- with hot-dip galvanized lifting mast, chassis, overhead guard, wheel rims and forks;
- with total protective paint, light gray color, on the forklift trucks;
- with overhead guard in drive-in version;
- forklift trucks set up for โIndustry 4.0โ, with the MONTINI REMOTE CONTROL device for interconnection to factory information technology systems, to make the production process more effective, efficient and easy to manage and provide a service of the highest technological and innovative standards;
- optionally equipped with cameras to detect, in this customer’s specific case, speed reduction signs for forklift trucks, in order to improve safety in the use of forklift trucks within customer’s logistics area. In general, the solution proposed by MONTINI, known as MONTINI SAFETY, consists of a system of detection -with artificial intelligence- of pedestrians, forklifts and signs in working areas. Thanks to specific signs (placed at entrance and exit of work areas) indicating that the speed of the forklifts should be reduced, which are displayed and recognized by the cameras positioned on the forklift trucks, the forklifts automatically reduce their speed. The cameras are equipped with a LED light interface where color and direction of the lights indicate the distance and position of the obstacle detected by the cameras (watch the videoย https://www.youtube.com/@MONTINISNC/shorts);
- forklift trucks equipped with hydraulic oil and food-grade lubricants specifically intended for food handling applications, made with a special composition to reduce any risk of contamination both to working environments and products handled;
- forklifts with battery box coated with a protective layer of waterproof plasticization in fertene.
